The Lydia Project Episode 46: Sophie de Witt and Taryn Hayes 30/05/2020

Taryn Hayes interviews Sophie de Witt about how she became a Christian, as well as some of the ministries she has been involved in and is currently involved in. This is an honest and really helpful interview, with Sophie speaking about some of her struggles—including her tendency to compare herself to others. The books Sophie has written (which she mentions in this interview) are worth reading.

Book Review: Gender Ideology: What do Christians Need to Know? (Sharon James) by Alex Tibbott 10/06/2020

There are already two reviews of Gender Ideology on the P&A website, but I just noticed this one and found it helpful. Sharon James’s other writing and talks and lectures are worth getting a hold of as they include a number of things to do with issues related to Complementarianism, and she writes and speaks so clearly.

CCL Podcast Episode 043: Transformation in the Christian life by Caroline Clark and Chase Kuhn 08/06/2020

Chase Kuhn, one of my colleagues here at Moore, interviews one of my other colleagues at Moore, Caroline Clark, about how her life was completely transformed by Jesus. This is a really encouraging and challenging interview—not just about Caroline’s story, but also about our own relationships with Jesus, and our relationships with other people, both Christian and not Christian.

Vine work in a pandemic by Colleen McFadden and Marty Sweeney May 2020

Marty Sweeney interviews Colleen McFadden about discipleship and training women during COVID-19—both in her local church and at The Simeon Trust.

A worthy manner in marriage (Ephesians 5:22-33) sermon + Q&A by William Taylor 24/05/2020

William Taylor, the Rector of St Helen’s Bishopsgate in London, recently preached (online during COVID-19 restrictions) on Ephesians 5:22-33. Paul’s teaching on marriage has been the subject of great controversy, yet the model he outlines, based on Christ’s love for and care of the church, is radically attractive. His instruction is certainly counter-cultural, but if Christian husbands or wives live the way he commands, it would speak volumes for the gospel.

Let’s Talk: a new TGCA Podcast by Jackie Hill Perry, Jasmine Holmes and Melissa Kruger beginning 12 June 2020

This is a new podcast for women from The Gospel Coalition USA. Over the next nine weeks, Jackie, Jasmine and Melissa will seek to apply biblical wisdom to everyday life. The Chat Room: Marriage vows by Phillip Jensen and Kel Richards 25/09/2012

This is an older interview where Phillip Jensen explains to Kel Richards the importance of the marriage vows from the Anglican Prayer Book, and how they explain, remind and teach the couple getting married and also everyone witnessing the wedding what marriage really is.

Fresh light or less light? A review article of Andrew Bartlett’s Men And Women In Christ by Sharon James 10/06/2020

Author and speaker Sharon James critically reviews Bartlett’s 2019 book, Men And Women In Christ: Fresh Light From The Biblical Texts, clearly stating what she believes are significant weaknesses in his arguments against both Egalitarianism and Complementarianism.
