This elective explores the meaning and significance of Paul’s plural references to apostolic ministry in Romans, and their possible links with Paul’s mission/ministry “team” in Romans 16. We spend some of our time focusing on Junia (Romans 16:7). We go beyond the commonly asked questions (Was she a woman? Was she “an apostle”?) to explore other questions that are often overlooked but may be more fruitful for encouraging our ministry together: who were “the apostles”? What does it mean to be “among” them?
