Women leading church services: yes or no? by Phil Wheeler and Susan An 01/02/2021

This elective, presented at the 2021 Priscilla & Aquila annual conference, examines the question of women leading church services within a Complementarian framework for men and women in ministry. There is a range of practice in churches, and we look at biblical and practical reasons given by churches–both for and against. The speakers look at a biblical framework that will help you think through what you choose to do—whether as a church leader determining the practice for your church or as a woman deciding whether you will or will not lead, if invited to do so.

About Susan An

Susan An

Susan was born in Korea and grew up in Sydney. She became a Christian as a teenager. She currently serves as Women’s and Maturity Pastor at St Augustine’s, Neutral Bay, and Church by the Bridge. In her spare time, she loves to talk about Jesus, spend time with her nephews, and drink coffee. It’s a very good day if all three can happen at the same time! She loves how God has made men and women, and she loves exploring how that can be expressed in a God-honouring way.
